Sinopsis

Cuando una ominosa entidad espacial se acerca a la Tierra, el almirante Kirk retoma el mando de la nave estelar Enterprise para interceptar y investigar el gigantesco objeto nuboso. A medida que la tripulación profundiza en sus secretos, descubren que la nube alberga una inteligencia artificial con un siniestro propósito. La situación se torna crítica cuando un dron enviado por la energía cloud ataca a la tripulación y secuestra a la teniente Ilia. Pronto, un androide que imita sus recuerdos aparece, desatando una carrera contrarreloj para desentrañar la verdad detrás de esta amenaza cósmica antes de que sea demasiado tarde.
