          Resumen de reseñas

          Tim Burton nos presenta una visión ambiciosa de "Alice in Wonderland", que aunque hipnótica en lo visual, se siente a menudo descompensada en su narrativa. La película inicia con un despliegue de imágenes deslumbrantes, que atrapan al espectador en un mundo vibrante, pero a medida que avanza, se pierde en su propia grandilocuencia. La actuación de Johnny Depp como el Sombrerero Loco ofrece momentos de chispa, aunque a veces su interpretación roza lo excesivo, dejando un sabor agridulce.

          La historia, basada en las obras de Lewis Carroll, busca ser una reinterpretación, pero muchos críticos señalan que se aleja demasiado de la esencia del material original. Mientras que algunos personajes, como la Reina Roja de Helena Bonham Carter, brillan con su carisma, otros, como Alice (Mia Wasikowska), carecen de profundidad emocional, resultando en una conexión superficial con la audiencia. La mezcla de CGI y estética Burtonesca resulta fascinante, pero no logra sostenerse ante un guion que se siente convencional y a veces carente de coherencia.

          Se comprende mal que Burton haya convertido la anarquía narrativa-existencial de uno de los libros más rigurosamente libertinos jamás escrito en algo tan relamido. De hecho, por momentos, no se entiende nada. (...) Burton, sencillamente, aburre.

          Hay bastantes cosas que funcionan admirablemente en esta película, como la capacidad hipnótica de sus imágenes (...) un clima que te mantiene expectante. (...) Sin embargo, me cansa un poquito la grandilocuencia delirante de Depp. Es una película que ves y escuchas con agrado, pero el poso que deja es escaso.
