La secuela de Scooby-Doo presenta un efecto visual brillante que, aunque recuerda a los dibujos animados de los sábados por la mañana, logra entretener a un público variado. Los niños parecen disfrutarla con entusiasmo, mientras que los adultos se dividen entre la nostalgia y la crítica.
